THE COURSES
Lower Woodland Park
1000 N 50th St
We have most of our meets here, which is nice because it's a great course! We run around the fields and then up into the woods by the zoo. There are a few hills around mile 2, but once you're over them it's a long downhill to the dirt track finish. Having so many meets here is an advantage, too, because you'll know the course by the time Districts (which will be held at Lower Woodland this year) rolls around.
Lincoln Park
8011 Fauntleroy Way SW
Our home course! Only one hill, a few odd stairs and some fun loops around the park. Because this is our home course we usually train on it a few times before we have a meet there, so you'll get to know your way pretty well. It's also really pretty here in the fall- though you shouldn't be paying attention to the scenery while you're racing!
Bainbridge (Battle Point Park)
11299 Arrow Point Dr NW (on Bainbridge Island)
This is a pretty fast course that just got changed this past season. Some fun trails and a bit of a twisty part that I got a bit lost on... Oops. Always a fun meet though, as Bainbridge hosts awesome meets.
Pasco (Sun Willows Golf Course)
2035 North 20th Avenue (in Pasco, WA)
This is the course for the State meet, and it's the only time you'll ever really be allowed to run on a golf course (apart from the Tomahawk invite). Grassy with a lot of sharp corners and a few random patches of dusty ground. The best part is running by a little pond midway through the race.
